"These Harper's are unknown to me." Karl begins, "I understand However." He places a firm hand on the Woman's shoulder, "We will see that he is at rest."

"I will follow Pyros, I could use the excuse that Sabrina asked me to collect something.. if questioned I suppose." She heads towards where she hoped the Kender has gone.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Given the nature of the suggestion, it isn't difficult for the bard to deduce which way the wily rogue went; particularly when the door to the staff stairs opens by itself. She joins him with Merrick and Cross close behind. If we are searching for secret entrances, it may be useful to have extra eyes around. Merrick says. Elven eyes, at that. Cross adds with a grin. Where shall we begin? he asks the air a few feet away from the invisible Pyros

"Somewhere along this wall. There must be something." He knocks on the wall between him and the area he wishes to find.

[Ooc] Is Kybalion following the others or staying up front with Sir Karl and Airand? [/ooc]

Pyros and the elves begin searching the south wall and quickly find a section of the wood paneling that is a little offset from the others about half-way up the stairs. Lifting the trim strip releases a catch with a quiet click like that of a gate...

Cross moves further up the stairs and calls down to the others in a hushed voice. There is another one up here!

Lol, I did a roll for Cross, Merrick and Pyros and they literally all found the door  So I decided they found the second one also.

Kybalion will go with the elves. He will follow behind them so he stays out of their way. He will keep his head on a swivel as they go about their searching.

Beyond the door is revealed a lavishly decorated secret bed chamber. A large canopied bed, intricately carved and ornately embellished, dominates this room. Beside it, a wolf-skin rug covers the polished wooden floor.

A number of portraits hang on the walls, and Pyros immediately recognizes Akriel in each of them. In one she is depicted alone in a seated pose by a fountain. In another she stands with a young man. In a third she poses with a flamboyantly dressed moustachioed man. In the last she poses proudly with the Meistersinger himself! The decorations and personal effects in this room are overwhelmingly feminine. Everything is of the highest quality. A scent of perfume, sweet and innocent, hangs in the air. For a moment, the scene brings to mind thoughts of romance and moonlight walks.

A wardrobe cabinet stands in the northwest corner of the room, its hangers supporting a wide variety of fine clothing. Closer examination reveals that the dresses within are masterpieces of tailoring worthy of only the highest ladies of society.

As long as he doesn't see anyone in the room, he will call for the others.

Then he will slip past them, and go check the other door way.

Mira waits until Pyros returns and then heads (carefully) into the room. "Akriels room if I ever saw it." Mira comments as she surveys the clothes with a hint of envy. Granted she could afford such luxuries now, well something close to them at least.

"I could see me wearing that " she comments to Jerry with a wink, as she notes a particularly beautiful outfit, obviously cut for someone less.. full that Mira herself. Trying to use humour to settle her own nerves and lighten the mood.

"She has the best, as you would expect. But I don't think your father is in here.." she takes a look to see if there are any particular books in the room
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Mira examines the fine clothing, all clearly tailored and immaculately designed and sewn; obviously at great cost and skill. As she is inspecting the garments one of the hangers bumps against the inner side of the wardrobe with a hollow sound...

Pyros manages to unlatch the next door and peeks inside to find an octagonally shaped secret room! Windows on every wall except the north would make it quite well lit in the daytime, though his innate infravision allows him to see through the dim. Three ornate, cushioned sofas rest against a walled off central area and give the entire room a sense of elegance and charm. The rest of the decor is just as tasteful and refined. The view from the windows here is fabulous, and one can see most of Skald, much of the Cauldron, and all of the comings and goings of the Inn...

Kybalion closes with the elves as they investigate the area. He tries to be as graceful as one wearing armor and a wielding a pole arm can be in a building. Compared to the elves he might as well be a bull in a china shop.

Pyros glaces at the view, but is more interested in the secret, secret door. Or implied presence of one as there is no couch on the one side.

"Cross, Merrick. I could use your help in here. Seems like maybe a secret area in the secret area!"

Jerry smiles and nods att he bards remarks, Yes, that would be quite fetching on you. All of these things are so fine... finer than ever I'd allow myself to have made... How could a mere waitress afford such? And this private room... Perhaps her paramour Dr Dominiani has gifted her these things?
As Mira examines the dresses and bumps the side of the wardrobe, Merrick's ears perk up. That sounds hollow... as if there is a hidden space. May I? carefully he presses the side and tries to manipulate it; eventually it does slide back to reveal a hidden compartment full of fine jewelry! Mira checks the books. They seem mostly to be volumes of poetry or romance, with some musical scores as well.

In the other hidden room, Pyros notes the absence of a fourth couch and the blank wall. Quickly he finds a place the plaster seems odd off somehow. Pressing it another secret door opens! Nice find! I wonder if there is another... He scans the rest of the outer chamber and points to a spot low on the West wall. Aha! There! But that's odd... that would lead into the other room, coming out high on the wall...

A small but comfortable looking bed is built into the southern wall and a sturdy 3' tall end table rests in the center of the room. Both the bed and the table are composed of a dark, gnarled wood that has been well polished. The gleam from their surfaces is constantly shifting with your movements in the room, making it seem as though the wood itself were convulsing. There is also a sizeable chest, composed of more common looking materials, in the corner.
