The grinding melee continues, time beginning to run out for the unconscious injured... The captives and their assailants clatter ineffectually against each other. Jordek sneaks up behind one of the heavily armed goblins, but his daggers have trouble penetrating the makeshift bone armor. His intended target wheels around, cutting the Forest Gnome badly in return! Fin says a quick prayer to enchant a trio of stones with magical essence for a short time.

Goblin chief Wrolk and his guards move to surround Nocturno as he battles the orc in front of him. Blinded by his rage, the Elf strikes down his opponent and the blows against him are turned by his heavy armor! Linar snipes one of the attackers from the shadows, killing it instantly! Katten’s aim proves true as well as yet another arrow shaft penetrates the Cheif’s defenses, staggering and nearly dropping him! Keel Eeet!! He barks to one of his personal guards, who peels off to engage the Felis ranger; interrupting her second shot.

Jordek leaps upon the back of one of the goblins attacking the captives, injuring him greatly! The guard staggers under the blow, dazed as he lashes out ineffectually. Chief Wrolk lands a tremendous blow against Nocturno, enough to stagger even a hearty fighter. Despite the wounded warrior’s bloody countenance, he seems completely unphased by the attack!! [magical temp hps reduced]

Katten draws her sword and slashes deeply into her opponent, nearly sending him to the ground in a single blow! The goblin turns to run and the Felis’ swift sword ends his miserable existence. Seeing the tides begin to turn, the orcish archer flees into the dark down the nearest passage. A moment later, the Priest of Smooth-hands sends a stone into the temple of Wrolk Axe-bender. The Crack! of rock on skull rebounds through the natural cavern as the Chief finally falls. A collective shudder passes through the remaining goblins and those able flee to the South and East into the dark in utter desperation. Only 2 guards remain, embroiled in the melee with the captives; a stalemate that seems destined to come to a head…
