Concentrating on the anchor, Findalsip doesn’t see the farmer go down. He gets to work freeing the anchor from the rock.

Bull rushes forward with his swords, ending the Shaman with brutal finality. The body jerks and twitches as it lies, smole bubbling up from the gut as it smolders. In a matter of seconds a dim flame appears, spreading across the corpse and drowning the area in the sickly stench of a grease fire. Linar and Katten move to the southern passage, watching for any sign of reinforcements…



Hey!? Fin!! Jordek calls in the dark. What's going on? It's ok if you're scared, I won't tell the tall-folk. You missed the battle but they're nearly done... now… The Forest Gnome pauses as he senses the dead bodies and the captives. Oh, Shit! Goblins! He hurls his dagger instinctively at the attacker.

Fin takes the crude pick and chips out the area around the anchor spike. After a few well-placed blows he manages to pull the ring free! The second chain of 4 prisoners is now free of the wall, but they are all still linked together.

Gorme moves over to drag the bleeding farmer back while Aldgild faces off against the goblin. Her movements are weak and slow from malnutrition and months of hard labor. The tribesman evades her clumsy handling and stabs the captive with his spear, shouting something in goblin. Other goblin voices can be heard behind him in the dark.

"ARE WE ABLE TO GET TO THE REST!" He will start to swiftly make his way toward where Linar is, and southwards.

Once he does leave the field of battle, he can choose whether or not he will emerge from the rage or sustain it; a warrior would sustain it if he felt that another fight was likely to take place soon. When he emerges from the rage, the warrior takes no extra damage or ill effects.

With the second group free Findalsip will move towards the direction of the previously freed prisoners to check on them.

Nocturno moves up to join Linar and Katten watching dwn the soutj passage. Another pair of worgs rush towards the party, unwitting of the fate of the other goblins.

Fin moves to check on the first group, and sees the farmer-man unconscious and bleeding as Gorme tries to patch him up with the filthy rags they wear. Aldgild, injured, struggles to hold off another goblin while two more approach from the south

Bullock takes a moment to retrieve his throwing spikes. Nocturno prepares to move up to intercept the Worgs but the creatures are too fast! Before he can react the first beast charges forward, tearing into the scout! The rider stabs at his opponent as well but the nimble dark elf evades the crude weapon. The second worg begins to barrel forward, and the Felis ranger snipes the goblin rider from the back of his mount! The evil canine continues alone to leaps at Linar! The Drow dodges awkwardly by slamming himself back against the cave wall, causing the creature to fall prone but losing grip on his longsword in the process!

Nocturno moves up and brings a powerful blow down on the stumbled Worg's back; injuring it greatly! Katten fires again, a grazing shot at the remaining rider.


Beyond the crawlspace the captives and gnomish members of the psrty continue their efforts. Jordek leaps out of the dark like a madman, stabbing and chittering at the goblin, who only has a moment to register the shock before he expires. Fin moves to the doened farmer and speaks a healing prayer, closing some of his wounds and restoring him to wakefulness. Gorme, having difficulty seeing in the dark, rushes back to the other captives to get a torch. When he returns he is visibly relieved to see Jeram awake and the goblin dead. His face scrunches up as he stares at his fellow Forest Gnome… Jordek?!! Is that you?!?

The rogue whips around at the voice, eyes opening and squinting in the torch light. Oh, yeah… Heya Gorme! Uhh… one f the captive in the other cave said you might be here… umm… how ya doin?!

Wowser! Man I haven't seen you in… oh. Ooooh… There is a long awkward pause between the two

Two more mounted Worgs charge forward to join the melee, the growing group stabbing and biting at defenders. Bullock hurls his darts injuring the one attacking Linar and badlh wounding one of the newcomers. Linar desperately dodges and draws his short sword, striking the vicious canine and causing it to stumble to the ground. Nocturno finishes off the beast before him, his rage boiling like a cauldron as more and more foes arrive. Katten scores another glancing shot at the rider of the stumbled worg. Beyond they can see a pair of orcs lining up. One with a crossbow takes a shot at the group but the minotaur's magical buckler easily deflects the bolt.

Around the corner the captives gather up the injured and, heeding the Svirfneblin's advice, move to join the rest of the party; none realizing how savage the melee they are walking into. Jordek, Gorme and Aldgild move with the group for protection as the others help the injured Jeram. Between the chains and the shorter members of the group they don't make it far before one of the wetrock tribesmen comes barreling around the corner! He throws up one hand, dazzled by the torchlight and thrusts a clumsy stab at the nimble rogue. Jordek pounces like a vicious creature, stabbing and snarling as he shreds the goblin with his daggers. Holy $#it, man! Gorme blurts out at the savagery, Wow, and I always thought you were the normal one.. Oh Crap! More!

As if on cue, a pair of mounted Worgs gallop down the tunnel! Savage jaws begin snapping and biting as spear tips dart and dive towards Jordek. Almost miraculously the nimble Forest Gnome evades every attack! Good gods man! You have got to teach me that if we ever get out of here alive! Aldgild swings her pickaxe, catching one of the riders in the ribs. With a frenzied cry she drags him from the beasts back, slamming him to the ground. A bare-footed stomp to the head and she wrenches her weapon free of the ruined corpse.
