"Well, does it open now?" asks Alecia. Seeing that no one else has done it, Alecia leans delicately in and gives the door a push on the (RH) edge. it opens soundlessly and apparently easily, pivoting around its vertical axis.

The well bottom is revealed beyond. It has, apparently, not been disturbed. The secret door is exceptionally well made and from the well side is extremely difficult to discover.

As if by silent agreement so as to not waste the Dark Vision potions, everyone puts away their magical glowing weapons. Sue turns around, gestures for silence and goes to listen at the door 30' or so to the north.

Sue hustles back to the group.

Quietly: "Listen up, something is headed this way. Fall back."

He will try to line everyone up as attached. Assuming the scale is 10' on this map.

Once in position he will draw his bight new sword and get ready for whatever is coming.

Works for Jim. He will trust Sue and toss the the six sided die on the foor as well.

These are ghouls; at least half a dozen. Initiatives and actions plus associated rolls for round 1 please. The foes will close to melee range. They are close packed (1 per 5' square).

Stand side by side with Sue blocking the door. Attacking a ghoul that comes within range.
Initiative: [1d20+4] = 2+4 = 6
To Hit: [1d20+6] = 3+6 = 9 , Mace Damage: [1d6+4] = 6+4 = 10
To Hit: [1d20+6] = 10+6 = 16 , Unarmed Damage: [1d4+4] = 3+4 = 7

Sue watches carefully as the things approach. Getting ready to shield Jim if needed.(Reaction) As he readies his swing he will cast Hunter's Mark on the first one that steps up. He then will queue up a swing, but something keeps him from connecting.
Longsword+1: To hit: [1d20+6] = 4+6 = 10 Damage [1d8+4] = 5+4 = 9

Targeting a monster at the back if possible if not the one on Sue.

Woody will also move back enough to make sure can cast burning hands without hitting his team members if the ghouls break through Jim and Sue.
