Re: Fresh Starts??

Well, with 3 other players to chime in, i'd have 2 yes, 1 "leave it to my call", and 3 as yet not said anything. I think I'd wait until you hear from the other three players. Unless there is a majority, after every voice has been heard (and counting the 1 'leave it to your call" as a...

Re: It REALLY IS scary IMO

Have you seen the TV commercials for a software program called "Grammarly"? Even "Word" now offers suggestions while writing notes and formal/informal documents, The name "Grammarly" sounds vaguely familiar to me so I think I have at some point seen one of the commerci...

It REALLY IS scary IMO

Two years ago I 'upgraded' from a flip phone to a smart phone. I could text on the old flip phone, but the mechanics of doing it were so unwieldly that I rarely did. I don't text much to begin with, but one positive about the smart phone is that it does make texting easier (tapping the screen, inste...

Re: Chronicles of Trini Kurtz

What is it about online games you don't like? It's not that I don't like them, but due to time constraints it comes down to making a choice between spending time playing games or visiting my various hobby message boards and Facebook pages. I choose the latter. One nice change of pace about this gam...

Re: Chronicles of Trini Kurtz

Thanks for posting about your adventures Jaded, I am very interested in them and this game. I wasn't blowing smoke when I told Cole how awesome this game looks, but past experience has told me that online video games aren't right for me personally, so that's why I won't be joining in. I'll content m...

Re: Family woes.. Boo hiss..

BUT if they are supposedly wanting me to come the hell up, to take him when he gets discharged, DON'T THEY THINK it would be a bloody good idea, to actually, you know.. TELL ME WHEN the hell i need to be up there?! Yeah, that's got to be frustrating. It seems like there was real progress being made...

Re: NWN Screen Shots of (Arkuth PW) - Now Open to Public!

Damn, Cole, these screenshots look amazing to me. I find the 'Spawn' option for after a death to be interesting, a character negotiating his way back into the game world. One question about the sixth-from-the-bottom shot: what is the green substance? Some type of gas? Green Slime?

Re: Family woes.. Boo hiss..

Well it's very good that you've talked with your brother. It seems to me that him seeking help is a huge step in the right direction. Wishing you both all the energy and support you need for this situation.
BTW congratulations on making Baronet, the first one I've seen on the site.

Re: Dice rolling,, towers, boxes or trays?

Wow, I'm not widely traveled as far as other D&D message boards go, but this topics a first for me. If overarm means with palm facing toward the ceiling as the die are shook, that's how I do it. I usually roll right handed, which is my primary hand, but just for changes sake I will occasionally ...

Re: Should artificial aging hurt elves?

So let's say a ghost touches a human and ages him 40 years. That's close to half his expected lifespan. But would aging an elf - who lives to be 1,000 or 2,000 years old - by 40 years really cause enough trauma to require a system shock roll? I can see the case for ruling that they aren't harmed by...

Re: Animated D&D Maps

but still kind of cool. I'd actually say it is full on cool! You know I should have seen something this coming with what technology can do today, but I didn't so this new application for the game is exciting to me. The only downside I can see is that it might affect those groups who like to do extr...

Re: dispel magic and undead?

Also, under the Animate Dead spell, it specifically says that "the magic cannot be dispelled". For me that quote closes the case on the question of whether Dispel Magic can turn Undead back to dust. I'm still a little opened minded about Dispel Magic possibly temporarily tampering down a ...

I accessed the forums on my phone via the Wi-Fi at the bookstore on Sunday, 9:45 a.m. Pacific Time, which would be 11:45 Central Time. That's not too long before you tried, you are in Central Time right? Strange. :?
