After the files are unzipped, they should be saved to a folder on
your system that can be accessed by the Core Rules program. If you
do not already have one, a Userbmp folder placed in the AD&D Core
Rules 2.0 folder would be a good place. You should find this in
the Program Files folder on your hard drive.

Once the files have been saved to a folder the program can access,
use the following steps to assign a portrait to a character.

1. While the program is running, go to the Character Management
screen (either for Player Characters or NPCs).

2. Select the character you want to assign a portrait to by left
clicking on the that character's name in the left list box.

3. Select the Update option.

4. Select the Name option.

5. Select the Background... option.

6. Select the Browse option.

7. Select the folder that contains the desired bitmap by left clicking
on it. You may have to use the Look in: drop down list box to find
that folder.

8. Double left click on the file that contains the desired art.

Note: If you want to preview the portrait files, you can do this by
opening them in a graphics program such as the Paint program that
is provided as a Windows Accessories program.
